Well our Friday night at Grundy County Speedway did not go very well. We started off the day fastest in practice. However, coming off the track after practice, I noticed some issues with the carburetor. Once we got that problem solved, we went out to win our heat race which was very relieving for us after the day we started off with. Before the feature race started, rain started falling and we scrambled to cover the car up. Everyone thought for sure the race would be cancelled. Once the officials dried the track, they sent us out to the race track. We started 7th and the feature and fought our way up to third before a caution in turn four occurred. Once everyone got lined up, we got the green flag and were instantly stuck in a 3 wide situation. Coming into turn two, one driver came down onto another driver causing a 4 car pile-up. Unfortunately for me, I was in that 4 car wreck. After the wreck, I was not able to continue the race, resulting in my first DNF of the season. Although I suffered the worst wreck of my career, I sustained no injuries and all other drivers involved are also unharmed thankfully.
