Last night we raced Anderson Speedway for our second and final time this year and picked up win number 7 of the year! We started off practice 2nd fastest and found a bit more speed than 2 weeks ago here, but not quite as much as last year. After the practices were over, we noticed our snap ring that holds the clutch on popped off which allowed the clutch to come off with it as well. Due to those circumstances, we missed qualifying. After performing another mini inspection on the car, we discovered our bearings in the rear axle were not quite secure, but resolved that issue quickly. Once we thought we resolved all of our issues, our impact gun quit on us after three years which made putting the car back together quite interesting. Thank you to the Mucha’s for letting us borrow their gun! Fortunately we made it to the heat race and finished second after fighting through traffic from starting in the rear. We started last in the feature and worked through the field to first while holding off a very fast Michael Mucha for 18 laps in some awesome bumper to bumper racing for the win! After we got through post race tech, we discovered some more exciting news. Former CSR super cup champion Dallas Frueh asked myself and Michael Mucha if we wanted to be his pit crew for his 200 lap feature! Dallas did incredible finishing 11/30 cars! Thank you to Walt and Dallas for allowing me to help them and experience such a spectacular event with them! We race at Grundy County Speedway this Friday and look forward to having some fun! Thank you to all my sponsors who make this possible!
