This Friday we raced Madison International Speedway in Oregon, Wisconsin in what turned out to be a pretty crazy night. We had the fastest times all day long, even running our fastest time recorded at this track this year. We qualified first and went on to win our heat race. Come feature time, we were inverted to 4th and worked our way up through the field to first. Once we took the lead, we got hit pretty hard from behind turning us sideways in turn four, then got hit pretty hard in the left front which allowed me to straighten the car back out. Unfortunately, with that hit, I ran the rest of that race with what I thought to be our toe way knocked out, only to later find out my entire steering rack and assembly was bent. But, that’s racing and accidents happen. Fortunately we were able to wheel our way to win number 9 of the season. We will have the car ready to go this Friday for our race at Grundy County Speedway.
