We ran our second race of the season in our legend car at Dells Raceway Park this Saturday. It was a bit intimidating being among a field of 30 legend cars. We made some setup adjustments going into this event which had us a bit nervous as well. However, we’ve won two races here with the super cup in prior years, so we had some idea of what we were getting into. We showed decent speed all day for our first time there with the legend car until qualifying rolled around. I put down my slowest lap time of the day during qualifying which put me into the B main feature race. There were 13 cars in the B main event and unfortunately for me, I rolled onto the track late, forcing me to start in the rear. After avoiding some chaos and doing some hard fought racing, I worked my way up to 4th, which was the last transfer spot to the A main. Unfortunately, I got stuck in the bottom lane for the last restart, causing me to fall back to 5th after fighting a loose race car on exit. For the second time this year, I missed the transfer spot to the A main feature event by one position. Overall, we are very proud of our performance as we are already showing great improvement from our last race. We are transitioning pretty well so far in a very competitive field of cars.
Thank you to all my sponsors!
