What an incredible race weekend it has been for K5 Motorsports. Friday night, we attempted Grundy yet again for what would be our final race of the season there. We showed great speed all day there and ended up winning the feature, making us 3/3 at Grundy this year! We also turned our personal best lap time there with an 18.83 lap time!
After being out of the legend car for over a month fighting various motor issues, we finally were able to make an appearance at Jefferson Speedway this Saturday for the Legends State Championship. There was a field of 24 cars and we were looking pretty sporty all day long. Things were going well until we discovered an exhaust leak. With the help of RnS Liddicoat Legends, we resolved that issue before the final practice. Thank you RnS Liddicoat Legends! We then would go on to win our heat race which was an incredible feeling considering how this year has gone. We started 18 out of 19 in the 30 lap feature event and ended up with an 11th place finish! We have some things we want to change before our next race, but overall, we are extremely happy with our replacement motor and how things went last night. We’re very proud of our progress in a short period of time!
