Well our first race at Grundy County Speedway didn’t go as well as it could have. We started off with super fast lap times throughout all of practice and had a solid car all day. We qualified 4 out of 13 cars and ended up starting 6th in the hectic feature race. We quickly fought our way up to 4th and got involved in an incident that sent us to the rear of the field. After restarting from the rear, we battled our way back up to fifth and were charging fast. Unfortunately, with 6 laps to go, we ended up with a flat left rear tire. Fortunately, we were able to nurse the car to a 6th place finish despite our dire circumstances. Felt great to get back out there and know that we have speed In this 43 car! Looking forward to Madison International Speedway in two weeks!
