Well, once again, we just can’t catch a break. We were racing for the win in our heat race and my left rear trailing arm mount broke with 2 or 3 laps to go, which then had this snowball effect twisting everything else in the rear end.
I am so grateful for all the help we received to zombie the car back together to get one lap in the feature so I could at least get my last place points. That one lap was probably the most difficult lap ever driven in that car. Thank you to Jeff Wakeman for all his advice and for even offering his car to me to start and park in the feature. Thank you to Cheryl Hryn and John Brolick for crawling under the car with us in attempt to get it back together. And of course, thank you to Clemens Racing for throwing everything they could at it as well!
Although I only got one lap in the feature, my night got significantly better seeing Matt Clemens park his 99 machine in Victory Lane. Just for the record, I called it too, lol! You deserve it man. I’m proud to be on this team and to have all your help and support. Congrats again! I’m a proud teammate!
We’ll get my car back out here for next week. Hopefully at that point, we’ll have no bad luck left. See you guys next Friday!
